Kia ora Kia Koutou,
Being born and raised in New Zealand I've spent the last 10 years in the CG industry getting my first break at Silver Screen doing conceptual design.
Prior to this I had worked on scholarship as a creative in Clemenger BBDO in Wellington where I was lucky enough to work with Philip Andrew (Duster) who was my Creative Director at the time and who has now become the CEO.
It's been a rollacoaster going to and from Production houses, sector 14, Cobaltvfx, back into advertising as an Art Director of Nativeworks then back into 3D and out to Weta workshop as a 3D modeller then Modeling lead.
I came out of Weta in April of 2006 and have worked as 2IC for Cobaltvfx and managing the day to day life of the company, while continuing to work on projects. Earlier this year I took a step back from the production admin side to concentrate on building my skill set and did 3D work on 30 Days of Night, Mega Structures for National Geographic, Telecom and The New Zealand Rugby Union. Also mixing in a few other small projects.
Currently I am Working on James Cameron's Avatar at Weta Digital in Wellington, New Zealand which will be released in December 2009.
